teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

New stories are always being written, rehashing the same plots beneath differing writing styles. In a world with so much choice, it is easy to miss an important message or dismiss it entirely for one's chosen, subjective bias.

Since money is the problem, a viable solution is to outlaw hoarding it. Short of completely eliminating the monetary system, that is.

Thirteen to twenty dollars for a tiny bottle of eye drops. What's this world coming to?

Why is merging on to the expressway or exiting the expressway such a daunting task? How do these witless wonders manage to pass their driving exams? I have lived in several states, and been through at least a dozen more, it's pretty much the same everywhere.
