Christianity; the World's Most Violently Persecuted Religion
RE: Christianity; the World's Most Violently Persecuted Religion
So we have praise of Authoritarianism and "Might makes right "mixed with the lie "You're demanding things from god" topped with "The mass extermination of a people is cool if they were jerks"
"Change was inevitable"

Quote:what do you do to a hostile foreign force that has spent centuries murdering you, robbing from you, stealing your women as sex slaves and children as sacrifices?
You don't utterly wipe them out  because none of the above justifies such a response

Not at all - neither the Old Testament (quite obviously) nor New Testament ever advocates for allowing evil free reign to do whatever it desires - that is infact a very counter-intuitive expectation.

Isaiah 45:7:

'I form the light and create darkness: I make peace and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.'

According to the Old Testament, then, evil is a creation of God. Therefore, not 'allowing evil free reign to do whatever it desires' would be an attempt to pervert one of God's creations, a clear act of blasphemy.

It really doesn't seem as if you've read the Bible at all.

God the interesting condition of having supposedly created everything but is at the same time not responsible for anything bad.

Yet paradoxically gets praised for happenstance events, you have to laugh, talk about selection bias, it's so obviously an irrational post hoc ergo propter rationalisation. He'll be telling us atheists are the embodiment of the Dunning-Kruger effect again soon, the irony was almost painful. I'd bet what little I have left after my divorce, that someone aimed the accusation at him at some point, and it's another of his schoolyard reversal in the form of "no, you are", after he Googled it of course.

I wonder if this deity creates our perception of evil as well? It is after all a subjective idea, and relative, as are all moral claims. So when I see theists like @TheWhiteMarten espouse what I subjectively perceive as immoral hate speech and bigotry, it's his own deity creating my subjective perception of that as "evil" or "immoral", well who could have guessed that in a million years. I feel like a puppet being controlled, so much for free will...

Perhaps you should read The Sermon on the Mount.  I am sure you can Google it.
There's no guns mun, what would be the point. Blessed are the poor ffs, @TheWhiteMarten would have a fit at this Jesus bloke talking such bollocks.

Impossible, I can only be murdered the once. Oh sorry, did you mean they were inept, or I was particularly adept at evading them, thus it took a century to murder me? If so the answer is nothing, as I'd be dead, obviously.
