Norm!

Never saw a single episode of Cheers but I know the character. He was the inspiration of a beloved Star Trek: Deep Space Nine character called Morn (same letters rearranged obviously). Morn was constantly described as excitable and very talkative but in the 7-year run of the show, he was never seen to utter a single word.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Norm: 'The question is what's going IN Mr. Peterson.'

"What's going down Mr. Peterson?"
"My buns on this barstool, Woody."

The DS9 character, Morn, was based on Norm.

Okay, what's a Sloopy, and why should it hang on?

And WTF is a Hoochie Koo? It sounds like an Asian STD!

Sloopy is an economically disadvantaged woman. She needs to hang on til things get better.

Hoochie Koo is a feeling of joy, freedom or excitement.

Here endeth the lesson.

Sad news. Rick was a badass on 6-string:

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
