Attention-seeking mom loses anti-trans appeal

A couple weeks ago a member of my extended family lost their three year old to bacterial meningitis.  The parents of this child are a trans woman and a non-binary person who has had some gender affirming surgery.  The local news interviewed them and the site is being filled with hateful remarks about the sexual identities of the parents being the reason/cause for his death.  One person even said that the whole thing was a ploy to get noticed by the press as in they let the baby die for publicity for LGBTQ+ issues.

I hope that the necroposting rule hasn't kicked in for this thread yet (IIRC, the rule is 90 days and it's been 87 since the last post), but I figure I may as well cover this story of transphobes hitting a new low:

Not seen: her reply to this tweet saying "long way down." She would never get the opportunity to Tweet again after that.

Also not seen: All the many, MANY, transphobes trying to turn the suicide note of a young person who never did anything to them (or anyone else, as far as we know) into a fucking meme.





And, perhaps the lowest comes from Hans Kristian "Stonetoss" Graebener of Spring, Texas, making two comics about preventing the suicide of trans people in the worst possible way (i.e. implying that she's a man if she pulls it off because men are more likely to complete it, or, worse, threatening to use their death to shill his shitty merch [which he actually fucking did]).

Texas introduces a bill to create a new crime: Gender Identity Fraud.

Basically, identifying as a gender that doesn't correspond to their biological sex was assigned as birth to an employer or governmental entity is punishable by either a jail sentence between 180 days and two years, or a fine of up to $10,000.

Fortunately, it hasn't passed yet, and hasn't even gotten into committee yet.

Finally, a bit of common sense pushing back against the endless parade of identity politics nonsense. This “Gender Identity Fraud” bill isn’t just some political stunt; it’s a clear message that biology still matters, no matter how much some want to pretend otherwise.

The bill’s penalties aren’t about cruelty; they’re about holding people accountable for misrepresenting something as fundamental as gender. It’s surprising that this even needs stating in this day, but here we are, with progressives insisting that self-declared identity trumps objective reality.

Of course, the usual crowd will scream “bigotry” and “oppression,” throwing around their emotional buzzwords like confetti. But laws exist to protect facts, not feelings, and society can’t function if we just let personal whims rewrite reality.

All told, this bill is a welcome pushback against the chaos identity ideology has caused. I’m curious to see how loudly the outrage machine revs up in response.
