Most strains of E. coli pop their clogs at 140F. Most foods are cooked at temperatures higher than that.

But I didn’t say ‘Don’t use milk’, I said don’t drink it. It’s vital for cooking, it just sucks as a beverage.

Some pathogens have already done their damage prior to cooking by generating toxic byproducts that pose a danger if consumed.

Quote:Certain bacteria produce toxins that are not destroyed by cooking to safe temperatures, meaning even properly cooked food can still cause illness. Examples include some strains of Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus cereus. Additionally, some bacteria like Listeria monocytogenes can survive refrigeration and multiply in cooked foods, posing a risk if not handled properly.

The excerpt specifically mentioned E. coli and campylobacter, both of which can be killed via normal cooking temperatures. Nothing is completely safe or completely dangerous.

We good?

The article addressed more than the specific cases and did not discuss cooking with raw milk. That was you, not the article.

You really have issues with acknowledging even the slightest error.

I admit to not having read the entire article, just the excerpt, so mea culpa for that. But in fairness, you objected to a point I didn’t make.

I have to wonder what these eejits are doing to their milk to get bacterial counts high enough to be a problem. Are they sure they're milking the right end of the cow?

It's one of the (if not the) best hydrators we drink. As in superior to water. In the swamp we eat salt pills for breakfast and drink milk for lunch - but don't touch the water.

Quote:Trump announced late Wednesday that there would be a 100% tariff on imported chips, but not for companies that are “building in the United States.” Nvidia shares rose more than 1% in the premarket, while Advanced Micro Devices climbed more than 2%. The VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH) gained about 2% before the bell. Apple also gained 2% after the iPhone maker announced plans to spend an additional $100 billion on U.S. companies and suppliers over the next four years. That’s on top of a $500 billion announcement Apple made in February.

“We’re going to be putting a very large tariff on chips and semiconductors,” Trump said in the Oval Office on Wednesday. “But the good news for companies like Apple is if you’re building in the United States or have committed to build, without question, committed to build in the United States, there will be no charge.”

(Bold mine)

Show once again that he really doesn't understand how tariffs work.
