The Fear Card
#31
RE: The Fear Card
The "God doesn't want anyone to go to hell" is just something stupid that Christians invented because they're uncomfortable with the idea of an all-good, loving god who loves everyone sending some of those people to hell to burn for eternity. They totally ignore their own dogma that God is the creator of the entire universe, Heaven, Hell, and everything. Not to mention the fact that if he's all-powerful, he could abolish hell and make everyone go to heaven, or at least not torture the "bad" people.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

Well, christians tend to avoid the whole "god is a murderous genocidal bastard" portions of the bible as well - especially when they talk about the story of Noah.
If today you can take a thing like evolution and make it a crime to teach in the public schools, tomorrow you can make it a crime to teach it in the private schools and next year you can make it a crime to teach it to the hustings or in the church. At the next session you may ban books and the newspapers...

RE: The Fear Card
God has to be some fucking retard, first of all he knows every possible of outcome that is possible.

Considering he created every single neuron in our brains he knows exactly what path we are going to take. Free will is obviously an illusion since God knows EVERYTHING.

Assuming he exists, he created me as an atheist, or rather the components in my brain which lead me onto becoming an atheist.
It's like I'd bake a cake, put together the ingredients and out comes a pizza. It doesn't happen because I created the components and know the outcome.

Sorry to break it to you but it is completely impossible for God to exist. There is no chance whatsoever for a man made God to exist.

Assuming he does exist, he has to be the most evil creatures since he sends innocent, nice people to hell. I'm nice to everyone and so are most the atheists i know of.

So you're saying that some of the worlds most intelligent people that have done loads for the world and its population should go to hell?

Fuck off.

Bullshit. Why did he create Hell in the first place, knowing full well beforehand that he would send most of the people on Earth there? Why not just make those people disappear, or never allow them to exist in the first place?

God created hell for satan and those who would be deceived by him. People make their own choice, God has made it clear those who choose to believe will be saved by grace, those who choose not to believe will receive hell. It would be nice to have a world of only christians but, then that would mean there would have never be sin in the world and no need for Christ's sacrifice thus no hell. In other words there would have never been a fall by Lucifer or man.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

You need to be, I suppose. Because by the terms and conditions of your religion, if you're not confident in your belief then you have nothing. And that's got to be scary when you've been trained into thinking you've got something special. allah says hi by the way.
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

Then you'd better truely hope you got the right imaginary friend, otherwise, you'll just be fodder for the true god;

Hell isn't even that imaginative. The inside of a volcano, ooooooooh, seriously? Dante's Inferno did more to scare the shit out of nonbelievers than this load of Horseshit Christians stole from the Greeks and Egyptians. Not to mention the old douchebag upstairs counting the hairs upon the head of an unborn child knowing full well that they will spend eternity being tortured because they chose to be baptist instead of Methodist.

Boogeymen work on children, why grown adults give this dribble more than a passive glance is beyond me.
"In our youth, we lacked the maturity, the decency to create gods better than ourselves so that we might have something to aspire to. Instead we are left with a host of deities who were violent, narcissistic, vengeful bullies who reflected our own values. Our gods could have been anything we could imagine, and all we were capable of manifesting were gods who shared the worst of our natures."-Me

"Atheism leaves a man to sense, to philosophy, to natural piety, to laws, to reputation; all of which may be guides to an outward moral virtue, even if religion vanished; but religious superstition dismounts all these and erects an absolute monarchy in the minds of men." – Francis Bacon

I particularly like the way you don't capitalise "christians", "god", "bible", but you slipped up on "noah"

I am getting to where I hate religion. Why would a loving god send someone to hell for using the brain said god has given the person? Why would this all powerful, all knowing god who loves us so much have to threaten us with hell for not believing in him? Why would this god toy with us in this way? It makes no sense.

Murder as many people as you like, you can go to heaven. Refuse to believe, you go to hell.

LOL.
