I wasn't an ex-christian. I was an ex-buddhist. While I appreciate your help, I really do not think religion is the answer.
about the vision.
What did Jesus looks like? Long-haired long-beared man that looks caucasian? The typical image? You see, most of these people who claimed to see their deity(ies) saw the "typical" image of their worship. Once again, it is just how our brain sorts out information and connecting it to what it could relate to. Christians see Muhamad and Buddhist see Jesus and Christian see Buddha. Who knows!

How come he left out stigmata's? Stigmata's are obviously the sign of the supernatural. Oh wait he's probably not Catholic. http://www.csicop.org/si/show/stigmata_o...an_bernas/
I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise

Isn't b/l a protestant? They got all queezy with the holes in the hands thing and banned stigmatas.

It's absurd that someone would actually resort to propping up the silly or supernatural with yet more silly or supernatural. How high do you have to pile the bullshit before it makes "sense"? Fucking demons...what a joke. Inserting tricksters into your mythos does not explain anything whatsoever, it only makes the water muddier. Now any reason you have to believe in your god is more than likely demonic trickery, any evidence you feel supports your god..fabricated by demons..etc etc etc.....
It perfectly explains all of the false religions, and supernatural claims.
As far as demonic trickery goes, the deception can only go so far:
If a good God exists, Satan is limited
a good God exists
therefore Satan is limited

If Satan does exist you would be unaware of it. You could only be completely unable to discern the difference.

I agree with you that religion isn't the answer. Jesus hated religion too. The difference I am speaking of is that to be a Christian is to have a personal relationship with God.
I'm confused, I thought in your OP you said you prayed to God. Aren't buddhists inherently atheistic?

What you can't explain is people who have never seen that image or knowing much about Christianity having that vision. I hear reports of people living in tribal areas becoming Christian on the basis of these kinds of visions.

or atheists having more NDE's involving God, but they must have still been brainwashed by the Church I guess

No, it does not. Invoking tricksters only makes things more inexplicable, as you cannot determine what is their trickery and what is not (including your holy texts btw).
"If a good god exists, Satan is limited"
There is no such thing as Satan, so that's garbage from the get-go.
"a good god exists".
Evidence?
"Therefore satan is limited"
There's alot of work you need to do to this argument before you can reach this conclusion, isn't there?
As you would be unable to discern the difference between an agent of Satan and an agent of god. The bible is clearly the work of an agent of satan, out to malign god with easily dismissed fairy tales of acts he never performed, and promises he never made, all to make him look like an asshole...so that people like me would turn away, and not be saved. You, BL, are an agent of Satan. How does that taste? Again, you invoked the tricksters, and this is something that a trickster would, could, or may do (and before you respond with "the text says that demons cannot do this or that"..that verse is a product of demonic trickery..they don't want you to know what they can and can't do). Your decision to explain what is uncomfortable to you by way of imaginary beasties is childish, and presents more problems without actually answering any questions or explaining anything. Invoking "demons" as an explanation for something is intellectual laziness.

If a good god exists, we will be judged on our works rather than on something as trivial as believing in his existence
a good god exists.
therefore, we will be judg.... oh wait. Modus tollens.

If an all-good god exists (all good as in could not be evil or allow evil to exist) then there would be no Satan. Unless, of course, this god isn't all powerful.

Why would an all good not have to not allow evil to exist?
