I am a pro-life atheist

RE: I am a pro-life atheist
I think most agree that the base line is that abortions are alowed in cases of rape, malformation, or dire danger to the mother's life(all pregnancies are to an extent, dangerous). What are we discussion is if should be allowed for women to terminate by choice.

Prohibition doesn't stop abortions, and if any woman that takes abortion light-headed surely isn't fit for a healthy child growth. So who would be responsible for the child? It takes no study that children growing unwanted in a home, tend to lack education and go the criminal way, not all but most of them.

Personally I think that this is the better option. That or birth control in the first place..

But then i think about "What if it failed? If the took precautions not to have a child should they have to go through with it?"

Its not like giving birth even for the most healthy is risk free.

My partner was on the pill when she got pregnant with our eldest.

And I pulled out early with the second one.

No response to the other side of the argument either, if someone WANTS to have a baby but has a deformed uterus which makes coming to term unlikely but not impossible. Should they be denied the right to try because they are likely to cause the death of the foetus.

If you’re going to watch tele, you should watch Scooby Doo. That show was so cool because every time there’s a church with a ghoul, or a ghost in a school. They looked beneath the mask and what was inside?

My point is that should you Have to go through with it? if you do. I think its great when people do bring new life into the world even when unexpected but im not sure if its fair that people would be made to.

My youngest sister (15) is pregnant and is due in may.

And as much as it was unexpected I certainly respect her for going through with it. Smile

My partner went through with it, but we have had an abortion too, late stage and serious abnormalities, was a tough choice, but its our choice, not the choice of a libernazi.

If life begins at conception then my wife and I have two human beings in cryo storage. Saying life does begin at conception and that is all that matters is simplifying such a complicated issue to such a level as to ignore most of the important ramifications of such a decision.

Its easy to be pro life, you don't have to live with the decision, the person you force your values on, does. I'm pro choice, if you want to keep your unplanned baby, fine, go nuts, but I detest your forcing of values on others, especially as you know nothing of their life.
