Some years ago we had a spell of freak weather around here, one manifestation of which was a twister or whatever the things are called. Of course being British, we tend to do these sort of things very pisspotically (eg, where America has a multi-million dollar space program, we have a couple of beardy blokes in a shed); the most our twister could do was rattle a few chimney pots.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
I'm OK. Louisville got off pretty easy in comparison to nearby towns. This area got hit really hard this season.

The tornado that struck Henryville, Pekin, and Marysville, Indiana was an EF4, and was on the ground for 54 miles.

It's tough to count them all Min, huts in the middle of BFE are difficult to locate or reach. We also have a lot of caves.....Has anyone seen our senator recently?

So um...yay for being somewhat north - I didn't turn on the news over the weekend but apparently 200 homes were wrecked in Charlotte and one family was carried out of their home while they were sleeping in the second story (according to my coworker).
