To rescue our cosmological understanding of the origins of the universe from base magical thinking we must look to God. Stuff can't just pop into being outta nuthin so God must have always existed and have used His naturally supernatural powers to make everything just as we see it today. The scientific thing to do would be to set aside our human arrogance and thank God Almighty for giving us his word so that we might have the understanding of the universe that is best for us to have given our diminutive, mortal brains. A proper understanding of the universe starts with an admission that only God can truly understand it. Fellow atheists, let us fall on our knees and thank this emissary of the living God for coming onto our forums and allowing the light of God to show us The Way.

This is why atheists are close-minded. Theists are the ones on the cutting edge, not atheists. Atheists have given up trying to know.

Eventually, there will be a type of theism that comes from theoretical cosmology. They will have no other choice when after another hundred years they still can't explain gravity or why the universe is expanding, or what was happening before the big bang or the hard problem of consciousness.

Oh the irony! You are the one that is postulating and have the conclusion taken that a god exixts and created everything, while most atheists will acknowledge that we still don't have all the answers to everything. If according tou we're close-minded, then your mind is so open your brain has fallen off.

So you are saying its impossible to know these things? And you called us close-minded the paragraph before, LMAO. And wow, just wow, you are so wise to know what theism is going to be in the future!

You're argument is that we don't know but continue to try is giving up whereas proposing an all powerful deity did everything isn't. You're being silly.

You've ignored all the long posts deconstructing your opinion, and you can't even be bothered to defend yourself.

Seems that intellectual laziness is a running theme with you.

Self-authenticating private evidence is useless, because it is indistinguishable from the illusion of it. ― Kel, Kelosophy Blog

If you’re going to watch tele, you should watch Scooby Doo. That show was so cool because every time there’s a church with a ghoul, or a ghost in a school. They looked beneath the mask and what was inside?
The f**king janitor or the dude who runs the waterslide. Throughout history every mystery. Ever solved has turned out to be. Not Magic.

Wow, there is just so much FAIL in this post.

That is obviously why there is so many atheist scientists probing the edges of the universe and the deepest secrets of the sub atomic realm.

Whilst christian "scientists"(oxymoron) are trying to make the universe fit their bronze age fairytale.

No.... saying "Goddidit" is not knowing anything!!!

If fact it is the ultimate surrender of the will to discover.

BZZZT you fail, try again.

Eyem4Christ Wrote:There’s only two ways to look at this. One is atheistic and suggests that for no reason at all the entire universe popped into existence out of nothing with these particular properties in place for no reason. The only problem with that is that these four fundamental forces were needed before the universe existed. They were needed for the universe to have ever come into existence to begin with. They had to exist prior to it.
You missed the other possibility which is that the universe always existed. String theory suggests that there are actually 9 dimensions, all being very small, but 3 of them expanded into what we now recognise as our universe. That's the explanation in a nutshell. Google it.

Yeah, ok, buddy, keep telling yourself that. In the face of your religion's growing irrelevancy, I'm sure that thought brings you at least some minor measure of comfort, so I'll let you cling to that...you poor bastard.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
