Well, I've never been a Christian myself, so that's just the way life has been for me. I guess I've just accepted it.

If you don't have God on your side then it's reasonable to suggest you never did. Therefore everything you did before today, everything you have ever achieved, is down to you and you alone. If you weren't scared then, why should you be now?

I know it's a tough idea to live by, but you have to be calm and tackle a problem when it hits you, you can't live in the "what if". And when the problems arrive, take care of them one by one. Living with stress and anxiety is never easy, I should know, since that's what forced me into therapy last year. But honestly, by taking a deep breath, assessing your situation and plan what to do and actually execute it, is the way I cope with hard situations. And remember, you're never alone. There is always someone willing to talk to you, someone who's experienced something similar to you that can help you out. Good luck!
Thanks yeah that's what I tell myself

No one here is qualified to help you. You should talk to a professional. I'm not trying to be mean or insensitive... just honest. In my opinion... if it is that bad, that is how you should cope. Speak to a therapist.

Life is shitty, but I find that life is worthless if we concentrate on worrying about the shit that can happen. I taught myself not to worry about things, and my life is much more peaceful. Many things in life are beyond our control. You need to concentrate on what you do have control over, and not agonize over the things you can't control.

Go to a doctor if it is that bad. That's really the best advice I can give you.

That's my point. Are you charged, or is it a fear? You say: "no one might hire me", when you don't know if that's true or not. I understand that it's scary, it's never nice to live in the unknown, but for the time being, live in the moment and make the best of the situation you have at hand.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Zentor, it is very possible that you were dealing with laten mental health issues, and your deconversion is bringing them out. I, however, am unqualified to make such a diagnosis.
If you truly are as bad as you say, you need to seek professional help just as the others have said.

Bingo. We all have strengths that we can learn to use. We're all taught not to rely on ourselves or be aware of our own personal autonomy/responsibility (and religion is a big part of that - the idea that we're not worthy, that we can't do anything by ourselves, etc.), but that doesn't change that we can learn to control what we think, feel, and do.
Any kind of counseling and/or mindfulness is a huge bonus to healthy and happy living.
