Why is changing of an add by a company lead you to conclude that Poland has problems over black people.
What an extraordinary question. I would have thought, no I do think, it shows that a black face was thought a no-no by whoever made the change to a "safe" white face. And since it's to be shown in Poland, where neo-nazi's are on the march, that is my conclusion.
Of course, the only one who can clear this up is whoever was responsible for the change.
You and I can only speculate.

Sure, and I speculate that it is because there is only 2.7% that is not Polish, German, Belorussian, or Ukrainian, the company decided that a Polish office with a black person in it would be highly implausible and not give the feel of a Polish office.
What do you think more likely?

I stand by my piece of speculation.

In America they would be eaten alive by the NAACP and probably sued. They would have to pay a settlement to "all Black Americans". That settlement would never really happen but it would be a huge mess. Probably some picketing and rioting too.

I don't know if he's right but I do think it is fair to consider the possibility that MS or their representatives think that is so (at least concerning Asians), otherwise why bother?

As I said before, the company decided that a Polish office with a black person in it would be highly implausible and not give the feel of a Polish office. This is an advert to promote the use of their software in Poland. It makes sense to make the picture more likely to be set in a Polish office. Had they used a similar picture for Japan an Asian man or woman would have been photoshopped in the middle.

But that's just your opinion Leo isn't it? One possible version of events ... isn't Bozo's view another possibility?

Possibly yes...although Leo didn't state it as opinion there? So that is a reason they gave for doing it is it? In which case the possibility would be down to them lying right? And then the question is why they'd do that.

Sure, but my opinion makes more sense from a marketing perspective. No company would make a decision like that based on the the supposed bigotry of an entire country.

That's fine Leo but it doesn't mean he's wrong ... for a company to take that decision to my mind implies there is some degree of negativity towards something about the person (probably his race) whose image was used previously. I'm not saying they are all prejudiced and a fuller explanation may come in time but I don't think it's an unreasonable possibility.
