I do not harbor hatred towards anyone, not even our greatest enemies. If I have to fight them on the battlefield, will I kill them due to personal hatred, or for the greater glory of our people?
Same, I do not oppose the marriage of gay people due to my intense hatred towards them. While it's true that I feel uncomfortable around openly gay people, and would be reluctant to spend another ten minutes in the same place, hatred is a too strong emotion that one must only use when confronting a very powerful enemy, or a very weak one, which isn't worthy of killing, perhaps, but must be killed, so one must tap into hatred and anger as not to show mercy at the moment of truth.
As we've already cleared this one, I've listed my reasons for opposing this.
Take it or leave it.
Well I am glade you are one of a slowly dying majority soon to be minority, your world view will like, everything die out. Like life, society will evolve from this primitive understanding, one man one woman is against are own nature, religion will die out or man will die out. Your views are obsolete for the 21st centry, you have personally insulted me and my intelligence, this discussion is over!

Know more about the world than I knew yesterday and lessen the suffering of others. You'd be surprised how far that gets you' - Neil deGrasse Tyson

Children, quit it.

Actually I found North Carolina to be enjoyable and down to earth, far from the hustle and bustle of Washington D.C. but I must admit I was captivated by the food and did not really pay much attention to the people....I always assumed South Carolina was the messed up one.

'don't change God's design?' I cannot express the depths of hatred for that country, fundamentalist government, it's pretty much the same as Iran only with less severe reprisals, you only get shunned for not adhering to stupid values. I know that is a very poor generalisation but it boils my blood to think that genuinely innocent and unintrusive citizens are being denied the most fundamental rights. I don't see how it's the government's right to intrude in people's love lives and all people deserve the same rights, that's simply institutionalised discrimination.

Government loves to intrude. Democrats do it most in the US, but when the GOP gets involved, they really pull out all the stops and overshadow anything the Democrats have done.

Let me stop you there.
First you place the blame of "intrusion of government" on the Democrats.
But then revise that to make the GOP the "worse" one.
Sounds like you've been drinking the Kool-Aid, because we've had heaping spoonfuls of the GOP since Reagan with minor Democrat interruptions. Hell, for fucks sake, even Clinton's administration, held to be one of the "Democrats have control during this era" presidents was overshadowed with Republican fuckwittery about a Blowjob at work.
Magnitude against magnitude, the GOP wins the "Government intrudes" cup hands down, as far back as Reagan.

Whatever you say. You've just proved you're another conservative.
Edit: Democrats love to interfere on liberal moral issues (gun control, the media, etc.) whereas the GOP really, really, really loves to interfere on traditional moral values (issues dealing with sexuality sums it up)...they may only do so on a relatively few issues compared to the Democrats (without these issues, they would technically be the liberal party in the US), but they really take it to the stupid level on how they interfere and to the great extent to which they interfere.
