Where did the Jesus myth come from?
RE: Where did the Jesus myth come from?
Good points, D/P.

Even more primitive than "Mark" is the Gospel of "Thomas" which is nothing more than a collection of sayings.... the pathetically silly type of jesus shit that xtians wet their pants over.

This crap may well have been kicking around for a century or so before "Mark" decided to create a real story out of it.

To extrapolate that love into sex and murder is inane. Campbell creates lofty ideas and principals that in all seriousness no one today cares about anymore than they would have 4000 years ago. The man is blowing smoke. I showed where the Oedpus complex arose. Are you saying you want to kill your father and have sex with your mother?

You really don't understand the myth of replacement, nor its psychological underpinnings and sequence.

The question to ask is who started saying Jesus is only a myth, and why would they want you to believe that. There is only one man to claim to do the things Jesus did... walk on water, make the blind see...ect. only jesus and ask why is it that people were inspired so much by this man name jesus
so much that they started counting the days for his return A.D and B.C. its only been 2012( how do we know today year) years since he lived thats not that long ago compare to what the government claim to know about things, people, animals, events that they claim happened millions of years ago yet they claim not to know if yes he did exist or not?

Are you really this fucking stupid or are you just another troll? Either is completely possible because most of the xtians who show up here don't know their ass from their elbow but you really seem to be even worse than the run of the mill assholes among them.

See, this is what you get when you drop FSTDT into a blender. Some of the individual words are recognisable and almost make sense, but seeing them cobbled together like that just makes my eyes sad.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

If my memory serves me right, that argument started in the 17th century. If my research serves me right, the argument that Jesus was really a human was started by exactly half of the early Christians. You see, there were six schools of thought ranging from a spiritual Messiah to a fully human, fully divine Messiah. You can most likely guess who won the fight. They go by the name 'Catholics'.

Sure, we could argue that some of the people had agendas, but that doesn't change the facts.

Jesus never claimed anything. He didn't write anything down. What I do know is that most things that are said he said came word for word from the Old Testament. Therefore, no, Jesus wasn't the only one to say those things.

It's not known when Jesus was supposedly born. It ranges from 2 B.C. to 7 A.D. I believe.

The government is a horrible example. They couldn't care less about holy books. Their job is simply to run the country.

Actually the one thing we know is that it is not 2012 as Dionysius Exiguus ( xtian monk) fucked up the calculations. Like everything about fucking jesus even the calendar is wrong.
