I didn't call you a bloody liar. In fact I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. Just so you know, we do get plenty of theists on here pretending to be atheist then convert in an instant, as it turns out they were theists all along. Some state they were long time atheists and state that 'they had woken up and saw the light' and that it turns out they were lying about being a long time atheist.
So of course I'm going to have some doubts. Don't go throwing a bloody strop over it, sheesh. Aren't I allowed to question?

Oh, is that what it's meant to represent? I thought it was Douglas Adams' Electric Monk, "a labour-saving device, like a dishwasher or a video recorder. Dishwashers washed tedious dishes for you, thus saving you the bother of washing them yourself, video recorders watched tedious television for you, thus saving you the bother of looking at it yourself; Electric Monks believed things for you, thus saving you what was becoming an increasingly onerous task, that of believing all the things the world expected you to believe.
Unfortunately this Electric Monk had developed a fault, and had started to believe all kinds of things, more or less at random. It was even beginning to believe things they'd have difficulty believing in Salt Lake City."
A belated hello, non-felonious monk!
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

I appreciate your question, and have answered it. To be honest I don't put much importance on terms such as atheist and theist. The Theist is the title of a story I'm working on, which Brain.37 referred inaccurately to.
Its the story of a formerly atheist human turned android who, in a futuristic state of technological and scientific utopia, has no choice but to evaluate theism.
Its going to get me banned from this forum shortly though.

I really liked this post. Best Douglas Adams reference I've heard in - well, forever.

You won't be banned unless you break the rules. The rules apply to everyone. Frodo is completely insane, however he's been our resident pest for ages. Tack has been a good moderator in these forums and has done a smashingly good job. These forums are for people like you and me to discuss peacefully and productively. The only way you'll end up banned is if you purposely cause trouble.

I do remember him referencing the robot to atheism and his motif of us being without god . He has a history over at Rational Responders. They didn't have to boot him, I think he came here because he figured he couldn't peddle his wears there so he is taking a shot here. No one gets booted there so even now if he wants to post there he still can, as far as I know.
He is still a theist, and even in this introduction thread he has already used the fallacy " I was an atheist myself". Tried that crap with us over there too.

Why is it so difficult for you to accept that I was once atheist? I didn't parade up and down the super highway like you blabbing incoherent nonsense, but I didn't believe in any gods. If that isn't atheist then by all means, teach me the secret handshake.

He claims it was an accident that he chose the avatar. But you quickly picked up on it assuming he knew what he had chose, and I think he damned well knew what he chose, and that it was no accident.
So either he did not know what the avatar meant or he did. I can tell you that he did, but when called on it in this thread, back peddled, because he knew his intent was to paint the atheist as a robot, regardless.

So are you going to lie to me and everyone here now, that you did not equate atheists to that futuristic robot, regardless of where you got it from?
And no, you were never an atheist. You were what theists falsely sold you.
Make you a deal, you teach me your secret robot handshake and I'll teach you the secret atheist handshake?
And while we are at it. Why don't you explain to everyone here why you had such a hard time over there. You can try to single me out here, but there was a reason I wasn't the only one who had a problem with your claims.
Hey The Theist, want to tell me why just now you changed your avatar over at Rational Responders after 2 years of membership with it?
Are you going to do the same thing here in an attempt to make me look like a liar?

He's, daystar. Made multiple accounts, spammed, trolled and even sent spam via private messaging to numerous members. If my memory serves me correctly....he even once lied about his wife having cancer (or something along those lines). He's a sick and twisted little boy. Lying is what he does best. He's a complete liar and a religious nutjob.
A straight jacket would suit him perfectly.
