I love that idea. Never thought of that. Then again I have no children, but if I ever adopt with my partner my kids are writing shit when they get in trouble.
As to the OP, that was just kinda awesome.

You should probably have them write something more substantial than shit.

I'm not a mother(heck, I'm 17), but that was a very refreshing read indeed!

Suck it up whiners. While we're on the subject, how come nobody wipes my motherfucking ass, or gently powders my sack. Coddled, that's what they are. Would you believe that in nearly 4 years not a single soccer ball has been produced between the lot of em?
Shit, your kids have it easy. Mine's too busy mining coal to bitch about much.

Quite true shell. I do apologize for making such a general post. What I meant was I will give them things to write down. I personally love to read and I love to write as well. Not only will it be teaching them a lesson, but it might also give them some sort of grasp of basic writing skills as well.

Hehe, I was kidding. I made my kid write lines once. He sat there and cried for about 20 minutes without touching pencil to paper before his grandfather came in and said "Shut up and get it over with." Yes, I am that bad at discipline.

I have grandkids now, so my strategy is to fill 'em up with red cordial and lollies and hand 'em back to their parents when they start ricocheting off the walls.
