I was a software engineer for 16 years, so I've had my fair share of logic. I've done a logic module, too, but it isn't what interests me too much when it comes to philosophy. I did well enough in the exam, but very long logic trees are a bit of a handful.

Oh, I'm not a 1st year. Just entering my 3rd year. I've actually done more than that, but I had to repeat some studies due to ill health. If the 16 years in IT wasn't a clue... I'm a mature student.

I too was a mature age student, working full time while I did my BA. I finished in 1986,at age 38.

in that case thanks for the tentative welcome. Being 25, I'm getting a late start myself. Though I think there's a benefit to it in that I'm not as focussed on things like Jersey Shore as my classmates may be.
