It's fucking bullshit to the highest degree if this is the case.
You can absolutely fault bethesda for this shit. They knew they were going to release dawnguard on this system, and they've had months to sort this issue out (if it is even the issue).
Blaming the hardware is a fucking lame excuse for shitty effort and ability in my opinion.
I'm sick of all these games companies nowadays fucking over their fans. EA, Bioware, now Bethesda. Seems like they're all just going to shit.

Oh I agree - Bethesda does bear the burden of blame. It's not as if they didn't know what they had to work with when they opted to support consoles.
Considering the PC requirements, I'm surprised they got it to work as well as they did.

Well this is what I just don't get.
I understand the processing is different on the ps3. I understand it works a different way, but I refuse to accept that dawnguard won't work on ps3. The whole of skyrim works on ps3. They managed that fine. How can one more questline and a bit more of the map really push the ps3 beyond its boundaries.
If it doesn't get released I've just wasted like 300 hours gaining the platinum. Might as well of waited until I got a pc and plunged my hours in there, but I thought I'd play it and spend so much time because everything like dawnguard and hearthfire and whatever other dlc would be included on this system.
This is so fucking shit.
(sorry for going on, I'm just pissed)

That's a damn good question, really - and one I don't have an adequate answer for. I can only speculate that it is either to do with some new mechanics introduced, or there are some incremental resource requirements introduced that don't allow some tasks to be offloaded to aux processors that previously could be. Beyond that, I couldn't really say.

It's a bit more than just that. Also, the Forgotten Vale & Soul Cairn are both pretty damn big by themselves.

Guess I'm just not gonna buy that they've suddenly got this issue. It annoys me too much for me to accept it.

Maybe he meant FF6... which was called FF3 in the US, apparently (this is from my memory anyway). I would assume he meant this because no one goes straight from 3 to 7... then they miss Kefka!
At different times I had a Master System, a MegaDrive, a PS1, a PS2, and an X-Box. I only have the PS1 now for nostalgia, mostly (especially since it recently screwed up. Yes, I went to play it again ) I prefer PC gaming and just emulate any (old) games that aren't for PC. I really wish things like Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, and Journey were for PC though

Methinks I'll definitely be buying a proper computer now. Meaning, I'll actually use a PC as my main gaming device and console as secondary.
The pros do far outweigh the cons when it comes to pc gaming, that much I've learnt.
