Okay, okay. I'm feeling slightly magnanimous this evening, so I'll give you another answer, one that's more in the spirit of your post. A better analogy would be you repeatedly shining a large flashlight directly into our eyes while

1. not understanding that we actually can see just fine without it;
   
   
2. not grasping the concept that a bright light shone directly into one's eyes does more harm than good;
   
   
3. thinking we don't really mean what we say when we politely ask you to point your flashlight elsewhere (see points 1 and 2); and
   
   
4. not understanding that it won't make any difference if we sit and hear you ramble on about how a flashlight shining into your eyes changed your life for the better and it'd do the same for us if we only allowed it to hit our eyes for a little longer, perhaps from a different angle than we're used to (see point 3);
   
   
5. not grasping the concept that, even if the company that manufactured your flashlight printed explicit instructions for its user to go out and shine it in other people's faces, you following those instructions are still unacceptably irritating, and do not, in fact, deserve immunity from criticism simply because the flashlight manufacturer says it's okay.

Agreed.

And I have to say that it is possible to "enjoy" and have ''fun'' even while engaging with non-theists in the contest of ideas.

AtheismTM has so many Christopher Hitchens among its ranks and the thing I found myself doing a LOT with Mr Hitchens was trying not to laugh.

Approproate Christian restraint and decorum makes the rules of engagement a little bit asymmetric.

But strong atheists would be surprised how easy it is - from behind our whole armour of God - to smile and laugh every now and then at the (very creative) atheist mockery - especially when it misses its intended target.

That's quite a good way of reinforcing a lie. "You may call my beliefs stupid and me an idiot - that just proves I'm right!" Not exactly something of which a grown adult ought to be proud, really. Personally, if someone was making mock of my beliefs and values, I might be tempted to re-examine them; it might be me that's out of kilter with reality.

And I really don't go by your true Christian BS....a Christian is a Christian. There should be no need to use the term true to describe a Christian because they are what they are....would you describe a dog as a true dog?

Are Mormons true Christians? Are agnostic Christians true Christians? Is a russian orthodox a true christian? Are Gnostics true Christians? Is a child born to Christian parents a true Christian? Is a JW a true Christian? Is a pedophile priest a true Christian?
