great episode. I love how the group is getting more and more brutal and recless. Best seen when they were confronted with the new characters (prisenors) how Rick just kills the guy who poses a potential threat in cold blood, without eaven considering mercy as an option, and how he simply let`s another guy who poses a threat get eaten by a bunch of walkers.
I was disapointed that Hershel didn`t turn into a walker, and I am interested to see how the plot around his injury evolves.

"Sick" great. I think "Walk with Me" will top it though. Maybe not in terms of action but in story telling and plot progression.

There's so many people who think of TWD as a purely zombie show that they miss the point. It's sad.

I was disapointed that Hershel didn`t turn into a walker, and I am interested to see how the plot around his injury evolves.

In the comic, Dale was alive and lost his leg in the prison. Since they had already killed him, they couldn't do that now so I guess they still wanted an old man to lose a leg. Now it will be interesting to see if they want him to die when the prison is under attack or if they want him to leave and survive for a while on just one leg after they escape.

As for Rick just letting the guy get eaten by walkers, I don't think that was what he had in mind. I think he chased the guy to try to save him, but when it turned into a choice between him or Rick, Rick saved himself. I think it will be interesting to see if the other two guys actually integrate themselves with the rest of the group or if they stay segregated.

Yeah, a lot of it comes down to the breakdown of society and the breakdown of ourselves as society breaks down. Again, there are some very interesting themes with that in the comics lately.

That is exactly what I think of when it comes to anything with zombies. In general, zombies provide a very good basis for making social parallels about almost any part of our society.

I somehow didn`t like this episode. I didn`t want Merl to return, I found it a bit cheesy that he came back. It would have been alright for me if he would have stayed a mistery.
On the other hand I did like the new characters interduced. The "Governor" is a awsome character, he and his scientist remind me of Captain Rhodes and "Frankenstein" in Day of the Living Dead. But I somehow dont like the new settlement. The "new" mysterious female character who has her two walkers and sword is becoming more and more interesting.
Oh yeah, the more I see and hear Andrea the more I want her to have a horrific death.

Why would the Governor feel he needed to shoot the soldiers? They may very well have joined his little community, bringing all their weapons with them. Clearly the man is delusional. Maybe Rick will put a machete through his cranium too.
Andrea and Michonne don't annoy me. Lori however, bugs the shit outta me and I would love to see her die in a smorgasbord of tasty delight for the zombies. Beth is about as useless as Sophia was and I wish all of the women in Rick's little party (with exception to Maggie, who is both useful and hot) would pull a Dale and just go out walking by themselves in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. Zombies need 4th meal too!
