RE: Why can't science detect angels and demons?

...
If I couldn't convince myself that I wasn't going to deal with a god, then I wouldn't be an atheist.

Although replying to junkyard is a "Kudosmine" I think I am wasting my time here.
Have a nice day.

Is that the official German word for it?
I'm fascinated how your language turns a bunch of little words into one big word for a concept or another word.

Okay I have an opinion about this ; christians aren't wrong about angels & demons, but I disagree with them on exorcisms & all similar stuff which include "physical interaction between humans & these entities".
In Islam, Angels do not descend without a reason, that reason is mainly to deliver a message from god. Since messages descend only on prophets, and muslims believe that Mohammed is the last prophet, it's almost impossible to see these entities.
About demons, they only concentrate on the human subconscious, they also don't appear, the Quran stated that they whisper only, nothing else was said about them visiting humans or show themselves to humans.
Philosophy more than science, I know. But if angels appeared people will believe in god ; god doesn't want an easy path like that. That's why I -personally- believe that non of them would appear to any of us.
The devil in Islam is the little dark voice inside your mind which tells you not to believe. Where does he live or how does he transfer those ideas to us ? nobody knows but god.
But a little bit on science : maybe scientists can't detect demons, just like 500 years ago humans couldn't detect viruses & bacteria. Telling a human that small "creatures" which you can't see are causing you sickness, nobody will believe you & would demand an evidence.
Well, sometimes it's impossible to fetch an evidence without the proper tool.

The problem which I have with the belief in demons is as following:
I read Martin Luthers texts in highschool during history lessons. It was through that that I found out, that up to the 1750s people in Europe who were mentaly handicaped were torcured and executed because they were suposedly "possesed by demons".
Believe what you want, but dont make your belief risk another persons health. And your beliefs dont stand above medical science.

Orrr ... maybe the reason why science hasn't found evidence of demons and angels is the same reason science hasn't found evidence of Centaurs and Werewolves.

Does this mean I can objectively label those that believe in the existence of demons and angels tools?

The idea of possession was attacked by many muslim scholars, it negates the concept of "responsibility is attached to each of you" which was mentioned in Islam.
Insane people don't get a trial in the afterlife, so as children & any person who can't think probably due to disorders or sickness , so the devil is actually doing us a favor by possessing us ; since we can't control ourselves we would simply walk into heaven clean without a trial.
it's a false concept which defies any believe in the afterlife.

Huh ??
If I understood that probably, I'll say yes but also no. The "tool" of the "tools" is their religion
A tool might lead you to another tool...

Quote:In public, the image of an unhappy and dismal atheist who is haunted by inner doubts and fears and is already paying dearly for his opposition to religion in this life is often conveyed. This image is not necessarily—and not always—wrong, but it is certainly wrong when, as we were able to prove in our study, atheists who have gone through a religious upbringing later on succeed in reconquering all spheres of life we described above, which had previously been occupied by the church.
