Might not be such big news for non Germans.
Austrian born convert to islam Mohammed M. was the founder of one of the first radical islamist groups in Austria, he was arrested on terror charges several years ago for threatening bomb attacks in Austria and Germany. He was convicted and served a 4 year jail sentence. Upon release he moved to Germany where he helped in the build up of several salafist organisation and caused controversy through various of his actions such as threats of violence, collecting donations for jihadists and pleading for the release of the widow of one of the 9/11 hijackers who is under housearrest in Germany.
The German high court made the decision to deport him back to Austria because he represented a threat to stability in Germany. Yet before the deportation could be carried into execution he went to egypt.
From unknown locations he would then continue to produce videos with terror threats against Germany and Austria and encouraging terror in those two countries.
He was recently arrested in Turkey where he tried to get into Syria and Turkey has already agreed to deport him back to Austria.
Hopefully this time the sentence will be more than 4 years.
This is some good news! He was one of the leading figures in the radical islamist comunity in the german speaking world. Especialy after recent horrible events I hope there will be more crack downs on these people.
