Greetings. My name is Jack, and I am a Buddhist. It took me about a year to see that buddhism was right for me. I was baptized Catholic but upgraded to Atheism a few years ago, and I still hold logic and reason very dear to my heart. I have come here because I love the environment of a secularly run forum, where rationality instead of dogmas and fat ministers reigns supreme. I look forward to meeting all of you in the forum!

Welcome, Garuda! I have to admit to being one of those ignorant people who doesn't know much about buddhism, in fact everything I know about the subject comes from episodes of the old classic show Monkey. I look forward to being enlightened (please excuse the pun).

Yes... preventing things like being rich, or powerful or famous and stuff like that go to your head. That stuff is only temporary happiness, and unless you give generously to those below you there is no compassion going around. Im not saying you can't have those things, just use them properly.
And a bunch of other stuff to long in list to count right now... im lazy tired at the moment.
