So when Christians pass on second hand statements it's not ok, but when atheist do so it is quite alright, double standard.
....huh? When did I say that?

That's a long swim and if I made it everyone would then believe in God. Would like to visit some day.
Wood working doing fine, learning to use hand tools and working on a design to use in different pieces of furniture, thanks for asking. Building a Chess board and pieces for my brother.

You have not said it directly, but have implied it in your resent statements, you take Marnie at his/her word, yet when a Christian takes the word of someone at face value you guys scream unsubstantiated, unsubstantiated you have to verify first.

The two differences are that Marnie is a real person who actually exists, and he/she is describing a scenario which, while we have not verified it as specifically true, is similar to many stories which have been verified as specifically true, so while this specific story could be entirely made up, it does not suffer from the flaw of implausibility.

You are severely underestimating the ability of the Australian people to take unusual stuff in stride.

I don't think I've ever done such a thing. Please don't put me in a group by saying "you guys".

As for chess club, in most cases these are directly operated by the school itself, so denying its own club recruitment drives would not make sense.

So they're offended? So fucking what?

Here I thought politeness was specifically the opposite of offensiveness... but I guess rudeness is really the better fit for proper opposition.
Usually, if I want to avoid offending... I excuse myself from the conversation. So, pretty much only for grandmother, religious friends, and 11/9 Truthers.

Which is called hypocrisy, and should be dismissed as such

However, most American atheists agree that 'going after' young children is inappropriate, it's unlikely we'll use the same tactics to counteract the Good News Club type of organizations at the grade school level. It just isn't right to do an end-run around parents like that.
I never thought their parents had shit to do with it...
Still don't, but ynever know what some peeps be thinking.

Plenty.
God is real, but then... so is everything else.
