Dog aside, when I was younger I bought into the popular Brussel Sprouts are disgusting meme, until I asked my mother to prepare some for dinner, for sake of being weird. I found out they are really good. I have also discovered that liver and onions are by far one of the tastiest things I've run across, but since liver is so hard to cook right, it often is seen as horrible. Good cooks are hard to find. Oh, heads up - look for Balut. Tasted pretty awesome. What meets the eye is different from what tastes the tongue. Since taste is tied heavily to smell, you can say, the nose knows.  |
