Thanks for all the suggestions. The Youtube vids look great and I will watch them soon. I did watch a history channel documentary about the old testament on Youtube about 6 months back which showed how the rich people of the time were able to have texts included in the bible. I guess I am focused on the New Testament as I was brought up to be a Christian and not a jew. I am not saying the old testament is not dubious in its politics, but it is more of a psychological thing for me to find out how many flaws Christianity contains in its texts. I will check out the books soon.
