Description: In March 1992, police in Everett, Washington storm the home of Robin Pratt on a no-knock warrant. They are looking for her husband, who would later be released when the allegations in the warrant turned out to be false. Though police had a key to the apartment, they instead choose to throw a 50-pound battering ram through the apartment's sliding-glass door. Glass shards land inches away from the couple's six-year-old daughter and five-year-old niece. One officer encounters Robin Pratt on the way to her bedroom. Hearing other SWAT team members yell "Get down!" Pratt falls to her knees. She then raises her head briefly to say, "Please don't hurt my children." At that point, Deputy Anthony Aston fires his weapon, putting a bullet in her neck, killing her. Officers next entered the bedroom, where Dep. Aston then put the tip of his MP-5 assault submachine gun against Larry Pratt's head. When Pratt asked if he could move, another officer said that if he did, he'd have his head blown off. Though a subsequent investigation by a civilian inquest jury found the shooting "unjustified," the officer who shot and killed Pratt was never charged. TAMPA — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and the private company that provides medical care to county prisoners paid $1 million in a wrongful-death settlement this year to the children of a Tampa man who spent approximately 36 hours in jail without treatment while suffering a fatal stroke.

Allen Daniel Hicks Sr., 51, was found stopped in his car on the side of Interstate 275 by a sheriff's deputy and a Florida Highway Patrol trooper the morning of May 11, 2012. Passers-by had called 911 after they saw Hicks' Chevy Cavalier swerving west into a guardrail, records of the incident show.

Speaking incoherently and unable to move his left arm, Hicks was arrested on a charge of obstructing a law enforcement officer when he did not respond to commands to exit his car. Just after noon, he was booked into the Orient Road Jail.

I'm sure the cop wannabes will be along any time now with an explanation of how this was proper conduct.

Well, having such an animosity towards the police....I certainly don't know how the police in the US is, but if someone is going to complain about it, it ought to be me. Here, the police have been nearly taken over by adherents of a certain sunni order that is ruled by some guy who lives today in the US of A. I can't say this for the common police officer, but as you go up the ranks, I can see that they're positively connected to that order, and it's really no tinfoil thing, I swear. I know those guys are planting plenty of false evidence all around the place to frame our good soldiers for "involvement in a coup" or "extrajudicial killings", and "terrorism".
However these guys are also enforcing public law, I depend on the police for protection from break-ins and other things. I have had my fair share of confrontations with riot police over the last few months, and I have always refrained from taking action against them, such as throwing molotovs, stones and etc. They're my police, they are the police of the nation, regardless of whom they are led by now, once the current government is gone at the next election, hopefully, the influence of overseas will also diminish.
So I value the police as I value the army, however as long as their allegiance lies with the Turkish nation, not with some self-proclaimed Hodja and his order from overseas.
