Trouble is, Christian views of heaven tend to be almost incredibly drab and awful, tedious to the point of mind-numbing dullness (funny, though, how they come up with the most detailed and exquisite depictions of hell).

I've noticed the same, though I can't blame them for not knowing; after all, they don't have a living prophet to tell them the words of God. We now know much about how Heaven will look, where it will be, who will be there, and what kinds of things we can expect to happen once we attain exaltation on high.

I like the Mormon faith - it's one of those religions we can be SURE is a deliberate fraud, as opposed to simple wrong-headedness.

Then perhaps I'm one of your wrong-headed Christians all over, because I believe God has revealed to me through study and prayer that the things I believe are true. I feel like anything contrary to my faith is either false for the sake of misleading us, or its explanation will be revealed at a later date. God's ways are not our own, so we can't expect everything all at once. I believe that we receive knowledge line upon line, precept upon precept.

Hey Peter. Thanks for your answer. Right now it is a tiny bit confusing to me as I still have no idea what you actually believe in.

I will spend a bit of time researching it tomorrow and come back with more questions (if that is allowed), I enoy finding out what makes people tick.

I always find amusing the Mormom practice of distancing themselves from Christians. You're a Christian, mate. Deal with it.

Partly you are, yes. But primarily, you're simply one of the duped Mormon masses taken in by the fraudulent, semi-literate criminal, Joseph Smith.

I find myself unsurprised. Anyone who can believe Joseph Smith was a prophet instead of a confindence trickster must be prepared to believe anything.

Hey priest!
How do you react to the claims that Joseph Smith was a known conman?
Also how do you account for his translation of the Book of Mormon from the tablets? He translated it in the 19th century but used 17th century English?
Do you honestly believe the whole story that he was visited by an angel who was a white Native American, then he found the tablets in a hill, then he translated them by looking into a hat, then he lost the translations and had to do it again but held a blanket inbetween him and the scribe. Doesn't that seem a little farfetched?
