So, nothin. OKay then, any other takers? Where's Drich when you need him?!
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
Quote:Some people deserve hell.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Dont worry Godchild, I'll accept it if I am wrong. It is only honorable to accept ones fate so says the code of Bushido.

That just flew out the window if god is omnipotent and can manipulate everyone. And did so not very surreptitiously. Ahh yes you objection would hold water. However, the only witness of this perception are the Abrahamic religions. With that said, those are the only reliable witness to his omnipresence. That means we cannot take his omnipotence seriously. However, we have Mr. D as the witness to the fall regardless of the possible malicious intent. We can ascertain that God did have foreknowledge and intent when placing the tree in the garden.
(Okay I am having fun with this, I do fear it might get out of hand.)
You're right it will get out of hand quickly, that's the way some deal with arguments here, they care nothing for the argument they only desire the kudos. If it were to stay serious I would have things to say, but I'm tired of the immature childish ways of our new members, I wish some of the mature ones would come back.

'our' new members?
mmmkay
1. You're a new member
2. If we treated you like you're supposed to treat us you wouldn't be here.
3. His OP was not in any way immature, it took reasonable thought to procure it and share it. If you actually have something to say other than petty belittlement, say it or GTFO.
4. Re-read 1-3

I wasn't speaking about the OP, I was speaking about people like you.

I'm fully aware of that, new guy. I'll kindly refer you back through #1 and #2, and gather that since you've opted to ignore #3 you've bowed out of the talk altogether and are going to be a nuisance, which is, as I have recently found out, punishable by complaint.

Fair enough, however making something besides a serious argument helped cheer up my day. I still have very close christian friends whom I talk theology with. I just enjoy satire as it through humor. To be honest if god is really who he says he is, I will wait on him. GC I am sure you have a reason in your head why you believe that. We all require some sort of mechanism that makes the world tolerable. It is a horrible world, and to be honest the thought of a higher being loving everyone makes the world easier. It is okay you want to defend that world view, which is why you resort to cognitive dissonance.
