You seem to be stuck on the erroneous assumption that because the majority, millions of people, believe in something that what they believe in must be true. I do not care if billions of people believe in unicorns. If there is no verifiable evidence to support the existence of unicorns, then those billions of people are delusional. Theists are no less delusional for their belief in god, a being for which there is also no verifiable evidence to support his existence.

God can make it very clear that he is real, ways that would be impossible to deny, but it's hard to do that if you're not actually there.

Why only one night you might ask? It states a time limit of one night(midnight until he gets up) because in the parable it states the only reason the friend will not get the loaves is that he is still in bed.


Let us just assume your right about such a thing as the holy spirit for the following.

To receive the holy spirit you must ask.(luke 11-13)

So let me ask you this: can you envision a possibility wherein one could examine the evidence you're thinking of and not find it compelling?
