Ray Comfort would be banned from AF in less than;
a) 5 years
b) 5 months
c) 5 days
d) 5 minutes
e) Never. Because forum traffic would increase so greatly that pay-per-click advertisers would pay a fortune to get Ad space here.

Working on finding a better link. Scum
Whats wrong with using death as a segway to discuss existential issues like...well..you know....whether God and the afterlife exists?
Are we restricted in what we can say and think? WOW. Some "free thought" community.

I'd say five days, because Comfort's general style breaks the preaching rules of this site pretty comprehensively. That's assuming the Comfort we're getting is slimy, documentary Comfort, and not a real person.
We had someone claiming to be Ray Comfort here a while back, I think. He disappeared, rather than getting banned.

5 days i reckon, judging by how long it took for grace to get banned. Problem is with ray comfort, he rejects a lot of mainstream science and solely relies on faith through personal revelation. He relies on no other evidence for god than that. And no one can argue with that, so there would be no point. Also he just plain lies a lot of the time.

I was under the impression it really was him. I'm not sure I remember why, though.

Yeah. Thats me. Crying myself to sleep at night over the ''civilised and congenial'' stuff atheists say @me.
I also like sarcasm. I'm learn-dings.

I dont visit very many theist fora. But I have a fair bit of experience with the (typical) asymmetric rules of engagement on atheist boards.
Theists - no preaching.
Atheists - preach as MUCH AS YOU WANT......it is AvT after all.
I don't see atheists 'preaching' on here. I mean, preaching about what? Not believing in an un-evidenced claim? Whatever you say, son.
Generally, the conversations with theists go like this:
Theist: God [x] is real and does [y]
Atheist: Prove it
Theist: You're closed minded
Atheist: HERP
Theist: DERP.
Show me an example of where one of us is 'preaching', and what, specifically, we're preaching about. Just for my own information.

A typical example of echo-chamber mentality.
You are allowed to openly discuss and debate The RulesTM and define what constititutes "trolling, flame wars, and intentionally harassing other members" but if a Christian has a problem, they are supposed to keep quiet or leave. [/quote]
I don't care about Christian beliefs. Christians are just but one of the many types of [poly]theists who make claims I don't believe.
If you think there's a problem, take it up with the admins, including, of course, the admin who is also a theist who doesn't seem to think there's a problem (that I've seen, I could be wrong). Overall, I'd say theists get a very good reception here. Again, much better than I would if I joined a typical theist website.
It's also ironic, really, that we're having a discussion about what constitutes "trolling, flame wars, and intentionally harassing other members", don't you think? If you've got a problem, have you actually ever taken it up with one of the admins?
