As a liberal, and I mean as a socialist, lefty, communistic anti-capitalist, Freudian, Marxist and Feminist liberal I fully support the right of the populace to bear private arms. I agree that there should be a well armed populace...but...and here is the but...that populace should be well educated and that not only should we afford the populace to be well armed but well educated. I see the two going hand in hand.

All Hail the Second Amendment

If the guy did not want to be in that situation he wouldn't have been walking around with a gun, Mr. D.A.
I always sense that same sort of Rambo mentality that you hinted at, Brakeman. I rather doubt these people are walking around armed and hoping that nothing happens. And, of course, if the robbers had killed his sorry ass then we'd have been told over and over what a fucking hero he was. RE: All Hail the Second Amendment

I rather doubt these people are walking around armed and hoping that nothing happens. I'm human, I hoped both ways at times. When I was younger and full of testosterone, I almost prayed to get a chance to shoot a thug. I didn't analyze my thoughts much then to wander why. I know that I hated people that bullied the weak and victimized the innocent. I still do now, but the faces of those I hate are more human now, with more scars of their own victimization. I'm still pragmatic, If I feel that I must for my family's sake, I will still quickly cross that line, but only sadly, with much dread of the consequences. What about you Min.? Did your head ever simmer in your youth? Were you always so cool headed and pacifistic?

Min probably was a old man when he was born. He spent his youth on his porch with his grandfather and yelling at those darn whipersnappers to get off their lawn. lol

No. Then I realized that institutionalized violence is another control mechanism of people. As with religion....one must look beyond the stated story to detect the bullshit. As for Townhall.com Quote:Townhall.com is a web-based publication and a print magazine with a conservative viewpoint, primarily dedicated to conservative United States politics. It was previously operated by the Heritage Foundation, but is now owned and operated by Salem Communications. Townhall.com, which publishes daily, features more than 80 columns (both syndicated and exclusive) by writers such as Jack Bouroudjian, Dennis Prager, Neal Boortz, Ann Coulter, Dinesh D'Souza, Larry Elder, Jonah Goldberg, Rebecca Hagelin, Paul Jacob, Paul Kengor, David Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Michelle Malkin, the late Robert Novak, Thomas Sowell, Jacob Sullum, Mike Adams, Matt Lewis, Amanda Carpenter, Fred Thompson, Jeb Bush, Lisa De Pasquale, Bruce Bialosky, Cal Thomas and John Hawkins. More fascist horseshit. You may as well quote FIX News!
Really? it cited the stories but no because the website was conservative it is invalid? wow, min just wow. By the way might come to shock but I am not a conservative. But hey when have bias views ever steered someone away from critical thinking.....

I don't think I alluded to anything like that. I was asking if you had felt the desire to vanquish those that you feared in your youth. If you felt the "propaganda" that we are told as boys growing up that we are to be fearless MEN. That we are to protect society and ourselves by killing the enemies of society. Institutionally maybe, but mostly as a brave individual without "woman-ey" emotions.
