Jesus is Dead
January 19, 2014 at 6:59 pm
I do not force any of my own spiritual beliefs on my 5 year old son as I find the indoctrination of children with religious dogma to be abhorrent. The imprinting that christians do to their children (as was done to me) is disgusting and I'll have no part of it. Well, right up until some fucking christard attempts to put stupidity in my son's head.
I was forced to counteract just such rubbish when my son says at the dining room table, "papa, we didn't pray to jesus [for the food]."
I looked right at him and calmly said, "(son's name), we don't pray to dead people. Jesus died a long time ago and even if he was a good man, we don't worship dead people."
My point: Halfwits, if you want to worship a dead jew, go ahead, but please stay the fuck away from my family.

One might have a case that Jesus never existed at all. See Mithras, Horus, and a few other people that led lives similar to him.
Edit: You know I'm honestly tempted to put that in my sig. Find the myths about everyone that had the virgin birth and rose again three days after they died, and maybe say I worship all of them.

I always thought it odd to thank Jesus for the food, when so many of his children die of malnutrition every day. So, I suppose a proper grace would be something like:
'We thank you Dear Lord for the bounty we are about to receive from Thy hand. It was awfully nice of You to give us the roast beef, potatoes, carrots, bread and pudding for just a single meal, when this much food would feed a Somali family of four for a week. If You talk to them, please let them know we're thinking of them, and that we hope they enjoy their daily bread of two ounces of weevil-infested rice and fetid water. Amen.'

Teaching your child not to pray to so called dead people is forcing your own religious dogmatic practices upon your child. The very thing you abhor.
Christians don't pray to the dead either. "This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead." John 21:14
He is risen, He is risen indeed.
If it could be proven beyond doubt that God exists...
and that He is the one spoken of in the Bible...
would you repent of your sins and place your faith in Jesus Christ?

Well when he's at a proper age to think about things and make his own decisions, then maybe he'll decide to join the church. If Cinjin started forcing him to stay away from churches and religious people, that would be forcing his beliefs on another. Not expressing his own beliefs to explain why they don't pray at meal time.
