Only if that is what they wanted me to do for them. This is a prayer I have prayed for myself.

Will you oppress your own sons life if he does not choose what you want for him?
If I ever have a child they can be anything they want, they just better not be a Christian or a Moslem.

You do realize that sch a prayer strongly suggests that you are a masochist who is sublimating his sexual urges. Have you considered having a woman beat/whip the crazy out of you? I swear it does wonders to cure masochistic prayer.

The imprinting that christians do to their children (as was done to me) is disgusting and I'll have no part of it. Well, right up until some fucking christard attempts to put stupidity in my son's head.

I was forced to counteract just such rubbish when my son says at the dining room table, "papa, we didn't pray to jesus [for the food]."

I looked right at him and calmly said, "(son's name), we don't pray to dead people. Jesus died a long time ago and even if he was a good man, we don't worship dead people."

My point: Halfwits, if you want to worship a dead jew, go ahead, but please stay the fuck away from my family.

You're actually a parent? ROFLOL

I feel sorry for your son and the fact he won't receive an adequate, secular upbringing.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

I'm sure he does a much better job than all those christians out there alienating their own offspring simply because they say they are atheist, or gay.

I don't understand why the Christians are accusing Cinjin of being close-minded.

He clearly stated that his words to his son were a response to the fact that the viewpoint was impressed upon his son by external agents rather than reached through his own inquiry. If his son wanted to become a Christian through his own volition, I doubt Cinjin would have as much of a problem with it.

I would allow him to go to church if he truly wanted to go. I don't meet too many children who genuinely want to go to church more than a couple times. It's painfully boring and full of ignorant primitives. Plus, I'd give him some questions to ask his sunday school teacher and then let him see the lies and back-peddling for himself.

Never. I will educate him on the sickness and evil that is Christianity when he's old enough and after that, it's up to him. For now, I will not allow neither yours nor my own agenda to be placed on his little mind. I want him to just enjoy his childhood, the way that I was never allowed.

You're a real fucking piece of garbage. My son is smart, kind and well adjusted. He doesn't have to worry about burning in hell or whether or not there's a god. He doesn't have some misguided sense of self-loathing and he's not ashamed of his body. He's funny and full of love, and he has the most beautiful blues eyes you've ever seen. He's musically inclined (like his old man) and he's full of questions about the world he lives in. He goes to a great school full of educated people who don't teach him superstitious horse shit written thousands of years ago. I love him more than anything on this planet and I take great care to give him every tool he will need in this life to be a successful adult.

You think you know me because you've read a few of my posts? You think you can accuse me of poor parenting just because you've got a phony deity shoved up your ass? You're a fucking idiot who would NEVER have the nerve to make that remark to my face. I'd put you on the fucking ground before you could say, "help me jesus."

Go ahead, attack me and my family again for no reason. Stupid fucking sheep.

I don't know those Christians....I just know the ones who place secularism as more important in their lives than all you guys. One of the biggest threats to secularism comes from within the vocal atheist community now. Christians wish they had an impact, but the rot from within (just like for Christians) is much more detrimental than anything the religious have been able to get way with....

Heck. I never have to defend religion when talking to a vocal atheist as they are beyond weak on academia or on adhering to secular values. For how much you guys praise a humanist lifestyle, you hardly practice what you preach.

Oh. Look Cijin acting like a stupid Fundie cunt again. Just tell the world that you've converted to Christianity. Atheists will thank you for it.

Goooood thing you decided to support this with more than just bare assertions, then! You'd look like a real nutcase if you didn't do that! Rolleyes

I am upset that you are a parent. Please rethink and give your son a chance at everlasting salvation. Dont cause him to live a life of hedonism and pain because you chose to. Please find a Pentecostal Church near you and give it a chance. You will gain hope. Christ is alive and is risen. Those who harm God's children will be punished in the next life.
