Ask your mom how she would feel being safe in heaven while you're burning in fuming sulfur knowing that her god punishing you forever for just following common sense because the real god refused to come out of hiding to convince you. Ask her if she would punish you in the same way and raise you in a manner where the child doesn't even know that you exist but must follow coded rules passed on to them by past deceitful kids.

He's going to have to change our brains so we either don't remember hell, or we actually enjoy watching people get tortured for eternity. As a former Christian (Southern Baptist), they believe hell is to show God's glory as Judge, while Heaven glorifies him in his Mercy.
That's one thing that always made me feel horrible. I used to have nightmares about my family dying, and knowing where they were. But now, I realize, my time with them here is even more important than trying to "save" them. It's all the time I have. And my life has been the better because of it. I love them so much more in my atheism. As for your mom, I've seen this a lot while I worked at a Church. The Church isn't going to give her a way to be at peace with it. They will tell her to pray and continue witnessing. As long as she is a Christian, she will be affected this way. Christianity has it's positives, but it believes some horrible things. It's why I'm an anti-theist.
