Nietzsche Understood that Germany Must be Destroyed

Nietzsche was German, but was intelligent & therefore not a patriot of any sort. He wrote in his later life that the Kaiser should be shot & Germany destroyed.

Additionally, he commanded the German emperor to go to Rome to be shot and summoned the European powers to take military action against Germany.

I agree with Nietzsche.

I disagree. Germans themselves were always a proud people, and rather militaristic in character too.
Only a man like Hitler could lead them to glory.
However only a man like Htler could lead them to ruin.

Besides, Germany was always a problem from the viewpoint of non-Germans. This is why France supported the brutal Versailles treaty that was aimed at humiliating the German nation and depriving them of anything that they could use to develop to become a strong nation.

This is right. Hitler would never have amounted to anything except a shitty, failed painter if not for the millions of people who thought his ideas were good and put him and his thugs into power and enthusiastically backed him all the way to the end. After all, none of Hitler's ideas were original. He didn't fool everyone. For a lot of Germans, he was telling them what they wanted to believe.

That's not to say that I hold the tiniest shred of support for the elimination of any people, because I sure as shit don't.

Expanding on my rubbish comment, clearly everyone was not aware of what an evil man had been elected. Had those who were caught been aware of what was happening, they would have fled and not been caught. As it was, too many of them were caught because they were quite unaware of what was happening.

I'd say the Treaty of Versailles had a lot more to do with the rise of Nazi Germany than any weakness of the German people themselves. I mean, if you look at Germany today, the country is in better shape than us, economically speaking, and much more politically moderate.
