Awesome.
Kick Ass
After this and "Let Me In" I think I'm in love with Chloe Moretz.

Captain Phillip's awesome movie.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
A clearly low-budget horror movie called "Psycho Ward." It was so hilariously awful. The characters each made such stupid, suicidal suggestions to each other I thought each of them was working with the killer at different times. In the end, they all died. Except for the Big Bad. Like a classic slasher serial killer, he was unkillable.
I watched V For Vendetta the other day.
Pacific Rim, one of my favorite movies ever.
But for the sake of not boring those who have already seen the movie, here is the Honest Trailer's take on Pacific Rim (it's both funny and safe for work, but kind of spoilery). I'm still pretty conflicted about it; it was beautiful, and clever in parts, but the last act twist struck me as profoundly dishonest from a character standpoint. Frankly, I'd prefer that it didn't exist, so that the franchise could have just ended with the wonderful tv series ending. That's quite a criticism, when you think about it.

Obviously, nothing can be flawlessly converted from graphic novel to movie, but the movie missed the point of the novel and dulled shit down. V was not for "democracy" and "the people", he was an anarchist. And Evey was a 16 year old who tries to be a prostitute and at one point got sexually and emotionally involved with a 30-40 year old dude. There was some philosophy about creation and destruction that was center to the novel as well.
Legally Blond. It was the only thing on.

Having never read the graphic novel, I'll admit that for what it is, V for Vendetta is another one of my favorite movies. It may not be an accurate translation of the material, but then again neither was Wanted or I Am Legend. For the record, I think the Wanted series is way better than the movie. Same idea as with V, with the original idea being lost in translation. However whereas Vendetta does well and can stand by itself as a great movie under it's own ideas and premise as presented, the Wanted movie is just a dumb popcorn flick that completely misses the point. Sort of like the Starship Trooper movie, the only thing it shares with the source material are the names (full disclosure: I love the Starship Trooper movie, but for very different reasons than I love the original Robert A. Heinlein book). The Wanted comic is all about the amorality of a 'what-if' world where super villains had won and killed all of the heroes and rewritten history/memories/reality itself to hide that fact from everyone else and set themselves up as secret masters of the world. It's a lot of fun, too bad they turned it into a boring Angelina Jolie vehicle... RE: The Last Movie You Watched

Here's the thing - I watched V for Vendetta before reading the graphic novel and did not like it at all. Also, I hated Wanted too and apparently the original ending of I am Legend was way the fuck more meaningful (never saw it though so feel free to disregard, just something I heard from others). Apparently we just have different movie tastes
