I know a lot of Americans who lived in Jeddah and a few who lived in Riyadh in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The only guy who ever had a problem was involved in a fatal car accident where the person he struck died. He eventually paid his way out of it. Everyone else didn't have any problems at all. It may be different now but I haven't read about any problems.

I'm not sure why anyone would think freedom of speech is a christian worldview. Christianity believes that heresy, speaking against the lord their god is the worst sin imaginable. The one unforgivable sin, in fact. I don't see anything a good society needs that originated from christianity. What good parts in there are mostly taken from older sources.

Yes, the horrible islamic countries, where they worship the same deity as christians do, and run a theocracy like some christians over here would like. We can see for ourselves what it would be like living under such a system, and that is why we are grateful that this country was founded under secular values like separation of church and state.
