Tiny question.... when you say "Peanut butter and Jelly".... this jelly, what sort of flavor is it?
I usually see it as red, so I'm guessing strawberry or something similar.
Also, I can't understand the fascination of having one side of the bread with a super sticky stuff and the other with another drippy thing... sounds like a recipe for disaster... Never actually tried it, to be honest.

9. Do you wish your country had won the Revolutionary War?
10. Would you be willing to let me stay with you for a week if I visited your country?
1. Do you celebrate Bonfire night or Boxing day? Thanksgiving is US specific as far as i'm aware?
2. Don't dislike exactly, I just find a lot of them annoying but that might just be media portrayal. I think the meme about how each of us sound like to each other is very apt.
3. I'm a royalist so yeah.
4. I prefer US shows for Scifi (currently following Almost Human and Intelligence), but I think we do better period drama's.
5. Probably, just seems like a lot of american things come across as all show and no substance.
6. Others have mentioned how some are better than others.
7. Not a lot since Matt Smith became the doctor.
8. It's probably the primary term but getting less used as smoking becomes more stigmatic.
9. Don't know enough about the specifics to make a judgement. I think it's a very swings and roundabouts argument.
10. No spare room unfortunately but I know a lot of good cheap hotels.

Ooh, a survey! I wanna play!
1. Do Brits (including Ireland of course) celebrate the US's Thanksgiving? No.
2. Do Brits dislike Americans (on average)? I'd say like. There's the whole "Americans are rude and stupid" stereotype thing going on, but I don't think it causes any dislike.
3. Do you like having a monarchy? Most of us do. But some people have a problem with it for some reason.
4. Do you prefer American TV shows over British TV shows (on average)? Depends. I like a mix myself. British Soaps are always better than American ones, but things like Dramas and comedies are pretty even imo.
5. Do you feel there is any truth that Americans have better teeth than Brits? Nope. In fact, Brits and Germans have the healthiest teeth in the world. I'll post a link in a minute (if I close tapatalk now and go looking for it this whole post will be gone.)

6. Do you think American's have a sexy accent or do you think we sound really stupid? Some of the Southern Accents sound really stupid, but the rest aren't really anything. Not sexy or stupid.
7. What's so great about Doctor Who? Everything!
8. How common is the word 'fag' used when referring to a cigarette? It's mostly old people and chavvy sounding people who use the word.
9. Do you wish your country had won the Revolutionary War? I don't think anyone here cares. I don't even know when it was.
10. Would you be willing to let me stay with you for a week if I visited your country? ... Maybe. Are you asking?
(For the record, I think the British accent is far superior to the American accent.) Which British Accent? There are like 100. (pleasemeanmine)

Is that a thing? The cheese thing? Do we Americans put cheese on too many things? Do Brits (or Europeans) not? What other things do we Americans do that you guys find ridiculous?
I'm not sure about the cheese thing, but:
Things I find different about Americans/America:
1. Drive massive cars
2. Drive everywhere, no matter the distance.
3. You don't have town centres in the same way we do. Everything is just spread out.
4. Overtly biased news programs which seem to be half news/half action film aimed at people with zero attention span.
5. Massive massive food portions.
6. No problem with horrible violence, but outrage at a bare nipple.
7. Don't understand British self-deprecating humour, they just look at you pitifully.
8. Much more neighbourly and friendly than we are.
9. Mega patriotism. Flags and pictures of George Bush (the time when I visited) everywhere.
10. The massive distances between everything.

Totally this!
On a predominantly American Christian forum, they spoke quite happily about nuking Iran just in case. But I used the phrase "hell no" and they went absolutely postal.
In the words of one of my hero's Tony campolo
"I have three things I'd like to say today. First, while you were sleeping last night, 30,000 kids died of starvation or diseases related to malnutrition. Second, most of you don't give a shit. What's worse is that you're more upset with the fact that I said shit than the fact that 30,000 kids died last night."

I don't think they realise quite how different the Radical Right-wing Christianity in some parts of America is with what we know of Christianity in Britain. I'd say over here for many it's just code for "be nice to people" and tends to be slightly more left than right wing.
