You guys already think I don't have any marbles, so I may as well empty the bag of them and let the few that remain roll out.

All the flicks of Hollywood that show UFOs sucking people up, the rantings of New Agers having their "spirit guides" tell them that an event is coming where those, ""unable to make the next evolutionary leap," will be removed to a different location.

The uncountable UFO sightings and abductions, especially since 1947 (Roswell) / 1948 (Israel a sovereign nation again). Are saying something.

To me, they are a preparation of the false explanation of the Departure.

So where in the bible is the rapture mentioned?

Rapture verses-
Prominent would be 1st Corinthians 15:51-53
"Behold, I show you a mystery-we shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed- in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump, for the trumpet shall sound and the dead in Christ shall be raised incorruptible (immortal) and we shall be changed. For this corruptible (decay-able) must put on incorruptible and this mortal must put on immortal."

Second would be in the Letters to the Churches in the book of Revelation 3:10 - (the church of Philadelphia -meaning -brotherly love)
"Because you have kept the word of My patience, I will keep you from the hour of testing that is coming upon the whole earth to test them that dwell upon the whole earth."

Note that in the Letters to the churches, Philadelphia was only one not reproved on any way, whereas the other 5 churches were reproved, and the last one (Laodiocia) was told it would be "Spit out". Laodiocia means -judging by the people- very close to democracy.

Jesus gave an illustration of His return in the parable of the ten virgins who were to meet one groom.
5 had insufficient oil-(to illuminate her with her lamp) a symbol of the Holy Spirit.
While they were out to buy more- the groom came. They were left behind.
This parable of half the the virgins being ready and half not, coincided with the Letters to the Churches where all of Philadelphia go up while none of Laodiocia go and a part of the others go.

Note that the Laodiocian group is offered intimate fellowship as the Lord is "Knocking at the door"...

Another verse that intimates the sequence of Jesus' return, is where He said it would be like the days of Noah when He COMES, and would be like the days of Lot when He is REVEALED. 2 different words describing different events:
Comes= Catching away/ Rapture
Revealed = 2nd Coming
Noah was lifted up over the judgment.
Lot was removed from the immediate area of judgment and stayed on terra firma.

But nothing actually saying that all the good little Christians will be carried up to heaven.
Just a bunch of vague passages that you've decided to interpret that way.
Good-o.

The rapture violates all kinds of physical laws. It is simply the "WOO WOO" of the incredibly stupid. Christians can't decide where heaven is and when people get there. Yet they love to spook the extremely gullible with "sudden disappearing christian" syndrome.

Take this two headed girl for example, if only one of them was a christian, does the rapture only take a head, or does it just leave a head?

But the white house staff were not joking a couple of years ago, when being over- run with flies in their place of duties.
And flies landing on this guy's face when interviewed, or dive bombing him on camera.
Often.
When was the last time a fly landed on your face?
Has one ever landed on your face?
Not me.

You can easily do a search on the fly infestation of the white house.
It wasn't published much in the "House dog" media but it was newsworthy for a moment.
Or a youtube video - Lord of the flies by Jonathan Kleck.

No, no, no. I couldn't care less about a fly infestation, what I'm incredulous about is that you take insects as a confirmation for your rapture mumbo jumbo. I mean... really?

Can't quite believe we're having this conversation.

If Obama WAS the antichrist and thus "lord of the flies" would he not just end the infestation by ordering the flies to go harass some Christians?

Ahh yes, classic confirmation bias: anyone not reporting the story you want to be true is in on some grand conspiracy, and only the people who do report what you want are the legitimate media reporting the truth! Rolleyes
