Honest question. Many of you justify your belief in the same way, and yet the results you show are vastly different and directly conflict in fundamental ways.

You have no physical evidence of your claims and you eventually resort to the supernatural, regardless of what religion you call your own, because the mailed fist of science is not designed to penetrate a world that is in no way discernible from imaginary. Yet, from that shared source, you all, even within the same belief system, pull out radically different results.

In the world of idealism imaginary is actuality. So anything that is imagination is indeed truthful because you actually imagined it. As a Deist in regards to my philosophical stance on religion I do not find it unlikely that god has anything to do with the natural and is only the mind responsible for its creation and maintaining.

So, what's the deal?

Mine's doesn't have people killed left and right on a daily basis nor does it rely upon intellectual deceit.

Can you empirically prove the superiority of your beliefs to anyone who doesn't share them?

When is the last time a person got killed in the name of Hubal?

If the answer to the last question is no, why should anybody share your beliefs?

My answer was yes but I do not think anybody should share my believes as they are my own and I enjoy them.

Do you understand that theological arguments and apologetics only work on those who already believe what you do?

I dislike apologetics and find it disturbing and creepy. Apologetics are just ego trips and anybody who does this is a moron. Just like the name implies, Apologetics is just apologizing to people for the fuckery of your own religion.

When you proselytize to us, do you ever stop to consider that atheists aren't just rejecting your specific dogma?

I dislike proselytizing with a great hatred. I find it useless and damaging to any community. I will sum up my views with an ayah from al-Qur'an.

Interesting choice of word. Would you describe your beliefs as 'superior'?

My beliefs are only as valid as current evidence suggests. That does make them more practically useful than beliefs which dismiss the very idea of empirical evidence outright, or places a value on empirical evidence which changes depending upon how useful it is in terms of supporting the pre-supposed narrative. It really means that most beliefs aren't worth anything and most others aren't worth much.

The real reason I chose the term 'superior' is due to the total exclusivity demanded by the major religions. If the Christian version of the Yahweh tale is true as the Bible tells it, for example, then the Jews and Muslims are missing the entire point of the thing, worshipers of other gods are, by definition, worshiping false gods, and atheists/agnostics are simply wrong about everything. There is no room for compromise.

ChadWooters clearly says as much: if you're not a dedicated and willing slave of Jesus, you're simply doing it incorrectly. One can only assume he misread the title of the thread as "Your claim's right and claims of other theists are wrong", given his refusal to justify his assertion.
