I'm in a sober period, so I drink coffee, cola, and spring water. When I do drink, I drink mostly tequila, Jagermeister, and cinnamon flavored whiskey, straight, at room temperature. I occasionally drink beer or sake. Mostly porters and stouts, and nigori for sake. (Or whatever someone puts in front of me.) I drank so much dry red in high school that now I avoid wine like the plague. If I had the option, I'd probably lean all the fucking time. Xanax... nom! Hydrocodone... nom! Benzos... nom! I like leaning, but I don't have access, and that's probably a good thing. (March 29, 2014 at 12:56 pm)rasetsu Wrote: Cinnamon flavored whiskey sounds...mmmm... I'm not a whiskey drinker, but this might 'temper' the taste a bit. RE: What are you drinking?

I've been drinking water with the Dasani flavor enhancers in it a LOT lately. The Strawberry Kiwi, Cherry Pomegranate, and Pink Lemonade flavors are great. No shitty aftertaste like Mio.
Oh, and Deidre, the Cinnamon Whisky (Fireball is the stuff) is awesome right out of the freezer. Tastes great!
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Tastes great! I like the Phillips "Hot Stuff" brand myself. That or Black Velvet cinnamon whiskey. Both were "smoother" than Fireball, to me, but I only tasted it once, and that after three shots of Patron XO. (I tried the Jim Beam "Red Stag" brand and didn't like it at all.) Hmmm..... Patron XO.....
Bear Republic Black Bear Stout.
Disrespect US beer all you like, but if you haven't had the regional stuff and are basing your opinion on the mass export stuff... you are ill-informed. (March 29, 2014 at 9:00 pm)Cthulhu Dreaming Wrote: Bear Republic Black Bear Stout. Ha! So you are saying that regional US beer could compete with good European beer? I'm not going to pass judgement without having tried it and done a blind test. But I strongly doubt that. Speaking of beer. Not long ago I had the worst beer I've ever tasted. It was a hipster friend of a friend who has a micro-brewery. I'm not joking when I say that it smelled like water from a rancid floorcloth mixed with extract of hops -- the kind new age people use to supposedly combat anxiety. It tasted about the same. He wanted to sell it to my boss. An awkward situation. RE: What are you drinking?

I'll keep this in mind. Although, wish I had some right now. lol Going out with friends to a local bar shortly, maybe I can order it there to try? Thanks. :=) (March 29, 2014 at 9:17 pm)sven Wrote:(March 29, 2014 at 9:00 pm)Cthulhu Dreaming Wrote: Bear Republic Black Bear Stout. Yea, there are some very good regional IPA's in the U.S. They are quite a find. (and I'm not much of a beer drinker, really) |
