Not believing and opposing the claim are two different things. If you wish to oppose it you need to show reasoning. Which is what I said. Your objection fails.

I grant you that they're two different things, and if Chas comes back with a "definitely no," kind of response, then yeah, that's something that requires support. I personally don't think that's what's going to happen, though.

So... I guess we kinda agree, after all? Tongue

You made the claim. Show me the evidence.

You made an entirely unsupported assertion. It can be dismissed until you show evidence. Put up or shut up. [Image: coffeedrinker.gif]
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

Support the claims you advance as true, stop shifting the burden of proof onto those who reject them, or crawl back under your rock.

Why let Frodo continue to slither around the board and comment in sleazy underhanded ways so he doesn't have to support what he's saying?

Scumbag is advancing and supporting the same claims as other theists, but doesn't have the intellectual honesty to support anything he says.

More importantly, you're begging the question anyway, since you haven't even attempted to establish that an infinite regress or uncaused, unconscious universe is impossible. Argument from ignorance.

Whenever people say something is "self-explanatory," what they usually mean is "I have accepted this explanation." That's not the same thing, nor does simply labeling something as self-explanatory obligates others to accept it as such.

self-explanatory - there exist an internal component about the knowledge of God that each person possess. Scripturally, God says that knowledge is written on each person's heart (spirit).
former atheists have said that this imprint of God kept coming up within them and had to remind themselves that there was not God.

Bull. Shit.

You mean like, where Chad was wrong there, and graciously admitted it, you think he should have lied and carried on accusing me of something I didn't say?

According to your holy babble he was always intruding into peoples lives. FFS you couldn't go for a toke without the bastard sticking his nose in.

Now he's come over all shy.

I wonder why that is.
the big bang was a carefully crafted event; we know this because the cosmos demonstrates it possesses objective meaning, purpose, and significance. One way God reveals himself is thru His creative work which is indirectly thru the senses.

God's creative hand is amazing
