Folks I'll be honest here. I don't believe from choice, I believe from fear. I litterally admit the only reason I believe is out of fear of hell. I have attempted to live my life without fearing it, but could not. There is always the "what if I'm wrong?" question burning within me.
It becomes even worse since I am in fact a transsexual, and many of my fellow believers still believe I will burn in hell because of it, even if I do believe.

Are you afraid of all the other hells of all the other gods you're not believing in? Or just your special hell from your special god?

You have no reason to fear hell. None whatsoever. It's a place made up to scare people. Gotta keep 'em in line somehow. There is no evidence for any gawds, debils, heavens, hells or any of the other tripe religion has come up with to explain the unexplainable. There is only reality. Let small minded people think whatever they want and be who you are.

Besides, what is the Vatican that can recant something that the pope says? the pope is god's mouthpiece on Earth... or so they say.... the vatican is just some lowly structure to keep the commoners away from the pope.

It would be a whole lot easier if my parents didn't paint it as such a reality. They claim to speak to God, my mom has seen him apparently, it is more real to them than anything else in the world. How could they be so so so so so so so so so so misled?

Then why believe any of it?

If you believe, just in case, then you logically must believe in all deities just in case. If you're a Christian because of numbers, then eventually you'll have to become a Muslim. And, as I've mentioned, don't forget that there are thousands of denominations of Christianity, all claiming they're right.

Hell, for all we know, Scientology may be correct.
