Any Battlestar Galactica fans here?

If you are a fan I want you opinion on the show and the religious overtones. I watched the series through twice and although I still love it the religious were more visible to me this time and it did put me off more, especially with how brother Kabul is your stereotypical atheist. However they did counter as adama is much more a like is in reality. I also don't find the cylon god much like the Christian god. The cylon god does not appear to be omnipotent and is acting according to a well thought out plan.

I love that show. It did have lots of religious overtones but I didn't tie it to anything in the real world. I think the Cylon god was just their collective mind. The human gods were just fairy tales.

It's fiction, religion fits right in!
I loved the reimagined series, just when I rewatched it as a atheist a saw a lot of things I never picked up before.

Never cared for it. Too overwrought overall, that probably made any religious undertones more objectionable overall.
