Uh-Oh...Looks Like God Is A Shitty Investment
So naturally the fuckers stick out their hands for the taxpayers.

Quote:A creationist group will ask state officials again for tax incentives to help build their long-planned Noah’s ark theme park in northern Kentucky.

Ark Encounter had previously been approved for incentives for the entire $172.5 million project, but it had to withdraw that application due to funding problems.

It has scaled back it's funding goals. He knows he can't get the whole amount.

Thats a fuck ton of money that could be better spent on.. well.. anything else. Hell, give it to me and I could be pretty damn entertaining. I might even go crazy(er) and build my own ark.

I won't be the least bit surprised if Kentucky actually helps fund this farce. They'll say it's about jobs, but we know what it will really be about.

*Cue banjo music* Yes, by all means Kentucky. . . give money to these swindling fuckwits. That's so much better than -- oh, let's say -- increased spending on science education so your state could stop being a fucking embarrassment to the rest of us and a laughing-stock to every person worldwide with a proper grade school education.

Let the fuckers that would want to go to this thing pay for it by raising the ticket price at the Creation Museum. Supplement this by passing an extra plate on Sundays.

Seems the devout could get God to pay for it as a small thank you for putting his name on our currency. That won't happen though, because he's mysterious.

For the record I'm also opposed to public spending for sports stadiums.

I never understood it as a christian, and I sure as hell don't understand it now. Why doesn't god provide the money? He's the one with the supposed fucking mansions and crap. Angry

10/4 on the stadium thing.

I'm surprised that Pat Robertson hasn't had a word of knowledge that God wants his flock to send EXTRA money to the ark. Of course, they still need to send to him whatever they were going to anyhow.

I think the stadium issue can go either way. Some are built only to suit a particular team and that team is the only one that benefits. Some are built to and do benefit the municipality they're built in.
