From my personal experiences, not really.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
Christians. Could you be wrong?

Someone asked Ray Comfort on his F/B page what he would do if tomorrow it was conclusively proven that god didn't exist.
He replied that he would pray to god for an answer. Respondent,"Did you not read the question?" If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.

-It is not prideful to have absolute knowledge. When someone admits that they can't know everything, that's humble. In fact, since I don't take the bible literally, it is as real/false as sponge bob. (August 1, 2014 at 5:41 pm)Rob_W75 Wrote: As an atheist I am willing to admit that I could be wrong. God may exist. If a Christian is wrong there are no consequences, in fact he\she will never realize it. If an Atheist is wrong then he\she has eternal separation to look forward to...Even if they are right, the future is still pretty bleak. Atheism is just a lose/lose situation. A Christian is under no obligation to try and convince anyone or provide proof. Their only obligation is the seek out the lost sheep. John 10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep A person is born as either a sheep or a goat. A sheep needs no convincing they just need the opportunity to hear the truth and they will believe it, its just that simple. The goat is the stubborn one, always wanting to butt it's head up against something, and no matter how hard you try you can't turn a goat into a sheep..Not gonna happen. Personally speaking, I've seen plenty of evidence, there isn't a question in my mind on if what I believe is true. The problem is, faith is required to produce the evidence, which is why Paul stated that the gospel came not in word form only, but also in power and demonstration. You just need the prerequisite of faith to make it work. Also as a side note, faith has nothing to do with religion, anyone is capable of having faith, as documented by the "placebo effect". That really isn't the analogy I would go for if I was trying to convince a group of critical thinkers. Oh and not to mention a little presupposition thrown in just to round out your ridiculous post.

The question was raised by the OP if Christians could be wrong. My answer was if we're wrong then it doesn't matter, now does it? I also stated that I'm not trying to convince, or prove anything to anyone. If you find that you're happy doing whatever you do in life and are fulfilled, then keep on doing whatever it is you do. The notion that I have to prove something to you is absurd. (August 2, 2014 at 4:45 pm)coldwx Wrote: So you want us to be sheep? Better to be a sheep than a lemming. But regardless, you're going to follow something and I find it interesting that this group of "critical thinkers" are unable to form an original thought but choose to parrot Hitchens, Dawkins etc.... Oh and btw, here's a video of your group of "critical thinkers" RE: Christians. Could you be wrong?

Just to clarify we're having conversations with people here who fully admit to believing they are 100% right.
Despite having no evidence aside 'faith', it's already taken as given that they are right and everyone else is wrong. Not even the remote possibility is considered. Utterly ridiculous. How can you reason with such silliness? And people wonder why humanity in the 21st century isn't more advanced and why we continue to fuck ourselves in the ass. I also stated that I'm not trying to convince, or prove anything to anyone. So here you're guilty of presupposing that there are only two variables; your version of whatever god it is you worship is true or it isn't. Why are you ignoring all the other gods? If you are not trying to prove you are right then why are you here arguing to prove you are right? And now we have moved on to a strawman, let's just pack them all in.
