Couldn't agree with you more Bozo! Hence my dislike for legal age limits on certain activities or products. When I'm 17 years old and 364 days, I will be NO more mature 24 hours later even though the number on the page is different. But hey, gotta deal with it.
Yeah. And when I was 19 I thought I would feel older when I was 20 because I'd be older. And I DID feel older, despite I was only a day older.
I didn't believe in God when I read TGD, but I was more superstitious, without realizing it though. And it wasn't your usual superstition. But it was superstition nonetheless. I also was giving pseudoscience like 'The Secret' some pause. And that wasn't right! And despite the fact I didn't believe in God before. I now have better reasons for it. In the sense that I know all the reasons WHY God is improbable. I don't just think " ah the whole things silly". And I no longer think there is weak evidence for God's existence that if grew stronger could prove him. And I no longer have pause with all the miracle stories of God. Or of pseudoscience like 'The Secret'. I now understand there is NO evidence for the Supernatural that we (or at least I) know of. For example, I no longer think that if a belief in God has utility that constitutes as evidence of his existence. It doesn't. In fact, as Sam Harris suggests, the fact that God consoles us could in fact add a reason to disbelieve his existence. Because it could easily be a sign that you are engaging in wishful thinking. Evf
It occured to me recently how we always know our age because our age matters so much in almost evertyhing we do from school, to work, to getting into clubs (whee!). I wondered if we didn't have to care about our age, would we keep track of it. Did early humans try to keep track of age before dates became established? And more interestingly, would life feel longer or shorter if we stopped keeping tabs on how many years we have lived? Sometimes I think too much on my way to work.

I dont really care about my own age that much, maybe thats because i´m 19 and far from being old. But I keept track of others specially girls. its importent that you dont have a girlfriend older then yourself. She can be at the same age, but not older. Thats atleast what I think
