I used to blush all the time, without provocation or warning. Even talking would set it off. The worst was probably when I played poker with friends using very explicit Area 69 type cards. They could tell how good my hand was by how red my face got.
Now the only thing that sets me off is alcohol, which has always flushed my face. I've never been able to be a secret drinker. Even the first time I ever got drunk when I was about three years old and my parents found me behind the sofa, an empty bottle of gripe water in my pudgy little hand, giggling away to myself.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
