New creationist movie: Evolution's Achilles' Heels

RE: New creationist movie: Evolution's Achilles' Heels
When airplanes proved heaven wasn't sitting on the clouds, they just put heaven in space or beyond the void. When evolution says we didn't come from a clay golem and his rib lady, then they just reject it.

Right... it's secular science that has centuries of political and cultural momentum behind it that is used to promote a dogmatic approach to learning about our world and how it works. Poor religious scientists! Where could they possibly turn for support???
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Real science deals with facts, like- I did this and got that.
ANYTHING else is postulating / guessing / theory.

A.E Wilder-smith (held 3 earned doctorates in biological studies) was saying, when one looks at everything with naturalistic evolutionary glasses -
that is all he can see,
I advise you to take your glasses off and see things as they are.

The fact that there are science guys who oppose the philosophy of evolution on scientific grounds illustrates the theory is not based in, "I did this - I got that".
But in something else.

That something else has all the hallmarks of a religious belief.
A religious belief supported by government- which occupies the highest
position of social evolution.
They want to answer to no one, thus their cup of tea is evolution.

There will always be a small percent of people who disagree with something that most experts agree on. However that doesn't make evolution any less than a scientific fact. There are scientists who believe in Yahweh, but since he isn't testable, the vast majority of scientists don't.

No one is going to overturn evolution, but on the extremely off chance someone did, the idea that we came from a clay golem is no more valid a hypothesis of our origins.

So, first of all... "science guys"? Seriously? Dodgy

Second of all, there are scientists who disagree with the germ theory of disease, or with heliocentrism... pretty much any idea will have its detractors and some of those will have phds. Does that mean that germ theory is a religion? Or is it just ideas you have a problem with that must fall victim to your particular brand of ridiculous rhetoric? Dodgy

Esq, if you have a theory, it means you do not have conclusive facts.
Those who hold to germ theory (or any other) are involved in a philosophy of sorts until they get facts- ie. - we did this - we got that.
We have collectively been waiting over a hundred and fifty years for facts showing evolution to be more than a theory and there aren't any.
Lots of guesses/ postulations and of course, theory. Oh and piles of deceptions (how could I forget?)

So you don't know what a scientific theory is and yet we're supposed to take your opinions on scientific matters seriously at all? Dodgy

The same deceptive windbags who have twisted the definition of (monetary) inflation to be rising prices rather than an inflating of the money supply, cleverly added their flair to the definition of theory.

RE: New creationist movie: Evolution's Achilles' Heels
A scientific theory is different from a layman's theory. A layman's theory, which you seem to be using, is more like a scientific hypothesis. Scientific theories are tested hypothesis that have been shown to work. The only reason science doesn't go above a theory is that they don't claim to know the absolute truth about something. Evolution works. that is a fact. We don't know every detail about how it works, but we know enough to know it does.

So basically no thought, no evidence, just the usual unthinking, shrill "it's a lie" response? Just jam your fingers in your ears whenever anyone tells you something you don't want to hear? Dodgy

How about you come back with some evidence, the next time you want to play with the adults?
